Not sure if it's a setting or just make it the behavior. I'd like to not think about clicking middle button, etc. to open links. If it's external, open it in a new window.
Possibly sorta related, though maybe should be its own separate issue: I've noticed that certain links in the menu behave kind of weirdly w.r.t. certain kinds of clicks -- normally (as I've got Firefox configured anyway), control-shift-click opens a link in a new tab, but for some of the menu links it seems to somehow ignore the modifier keys and just go straight to the link in the current tab. It seems to happen on '@me' and 'first', and 'longago', though not 'chatter' or 'tags'.
I think those are separate but it could be a UI issue for sure. There is some ajax calls being made when clicking those pages so I can see it behaving weird in some circumstances.
